Additional Bus Information:
Unlike the middle and elementary schools, there is no after-school activity bus for high school students. Students planning to stay after school for sports, extra curricular activities or tutoring MUST arrange their own transportation home.
Parking Services and Applications
Senior students who wish to park on the campus of SRHS must apply for a permit at the beginning of each semester. Parking spaces are assigned on a priority basis as determined by the Anne Arundel County Public Schools Board of Education. Applications for students who do not meet the requirements for priority will be placed in a lottery with parking spaces assigned by random drawing. All applications and supporting documents must be placed in the box on Ms. Jentilet’s desk in the Main Office. All Applications are due by June 15, 2017. Late applications will not to be accepted.
A Fall Semester Parking Permit

Applications MUST include copies of the following documents:
- Proof of Automobile Insurance
- Vehicle Registration
- Driver’s License / Learner’s Permit
- AACC Schedule and payment receipt (if applicable)**
- Confirmation of Internship (if applicable)***
Students may apply for parking with a valid Maryland Learner’s Permit. A copy of the applicant’s new Maryland Driver’s license will be required before a parking pass may be issued for anyone who applied with a Learner’s Permit.
** Applicants requesting parking in order to participate in the AACC Early College Access Program (ECAP/JumpStart) will be required to provide proof of enrollment in classes at the community college. Proof includes a receipt for tuition payment and a copy of the student schedule. Parking is NOT a priority for students whose ECAP classes begin after 3pm.
*** Applicants requesting parking who will be participating in a STEM, Signature, Early Childhood or other internship must provide the Internship Coordinator with information regarding internship placement as soon as possible. The Internship Coordinator must confirm enrollment in the internship prior to the issuance of a parking permit.
Parking privileges will NOT be awarded unless students HAVE COMPLETED ALL STEPS in the process, including:
- submitted a properly filled out application, including signatures and document copies
- have attended one mandatory parking orientation session
- submitted the orientation packet and parent/student contract within one week of the orientation session
- provided additional documentation of program participation (internships, work, ECAP, etc)
- paid for parking fees (to be collected upon approval of parking permit)
Unauthorized parking at any facility in the school complex, including but not limited to CAT-South, Central Middle, Central Elementary, Central Special, the former Sojourner Douglas College (the “Satellite” lot) or South River High, will result in a towed vehicle, a $15 ticket or other disciplinary action.
