DoSomething.org is the nation’s largest organizations for young people and social change. Each year, 4.2 million members tackle campaigns that impact every cause, from poverty to violence to the environment to literally everything else. Any cause, anytime, anywhere.
The SRHS DoSomething Club was started in February 2014 and is one of the top fundraisers for Harvest for Hungry, Teens for Jeans and Relay for Life.
TheThe SRHS DoSomething Club does most activities during meetings in school. We also have a few things (Approximately 3-4) that students may participate in outside of school if they choose to. We meet every other week. One week, we vote on which cause from the national organization (DoSomething.org) we want to participate in. During the second meeting of the month, we work on the chosen cause.
In addition to encouraging students to be activists for social change, DoSomething.org offers scholarship opportunities for each campaign that its members participate in. For more information, see the website at www.dosomething.org.
The SRHS DoSomething club meets every other Thursday, during NEST – Blue Block in Room C111. Follow them on twitter: @SRHSDoSomething
