The Hip Hop Collaboration is an extracurricular club that focuses on urban/hip-hop dance styles. It is characterized by mainly street dance, improvisation and personal interpretation. We focus on choreographed group performances in different styles of dancing such as: freestyle, breaking, popping, locking, krumping and house dance, that have evolved from the hip hop culture.
Hip Hop music and dance have influenced millions of people throughout the world and is an immensely popular style of expression. We perform at school and sporting events, community functions and parades, while promoting cultural awareness and diversity. We aim to serve as a catalyst to education advocacy and other societal concerns fundamental to youth leadership and empowerment of youth. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA, love to dance and entertain, and have a healthy, positive outlook on life. All are welcome!
