Additional Try-Outs Day – Friday, March 10

On the Water Practice for Both Varsity and Junior Varsity Teams – Friday, March 10

NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ALL SAILORS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND WILL SAIL

Spring 2017 Sailing Season Schedule

The SRHS Sailing Club is a competitive Sailing Team racing out of the Severn Sailing Association (SSA) in Annapolis.  Practices are several days a week, after school at SSA.  Regattas run during fall and spring seasons, on weekends, against other local high school sailing teams.

Fees

Please note the cost of high school sailing this spring will be $600 per sailor when paying by check, and $620 per sailor when paying with credit card online. The extra $20 is a processing fee from the credit card company, and does not go SSA or the SSA Junior Program.

 

Practice Schedule:

     – Varsity – Monday, Wednesday & Friday  

     – Junior Varsity Tuesday & Thursday

Practice days – sailors need to come down to SSA ASAP after school.  Briefings will occur at 3:45pm. Pick up time for sailors is 6:30pm.  Drysuits are required for the Spring season due to cold water temperatures

highest team ranking in history of program and first All American recognition; On board coach at two World Championships and many National level events such as Nationals, North Americans and Midwinters; Sarasota Youth Sailing Opti RWB Coach; All American Varsity Sailing 1983, Honorable mention 1982; J24 Midwinters Champion; 2 Time St Pete NOOD Regatta Overall Winner; NOOD BVI Regatta Overall Champion

 

Tyler Myers – Co-Head High School Coach:

   Has coached sailing to a high level for 13 years; Yacht Club of Sea Isle City 420 Race Coach (3 years); 3 x Hobie 16 National Champion; Sailed for Christopher Newport University; Head Sailing Instructor at Baycats Kayaks and Catamarans (7 years); Ocean City Yacht Club Sailing Coach.
