I Drive Smart – Driver’s Ed Taught by Cops

The South River High School PTSO is pleased to announce a new partnership with I Drive Smart.

I Drive Smart is the ONLY company where police officers provide 100% of the instruction.  They recognize that safety is paramount in developing this critical, life-long skill.  I Drive Smart is committed to creating a SAFE driver for LIFE by teaching teens to make smart decisions and exhibit good judgement… not just on meeting minimum requirements to get a certificate for a driver’s license.  The experience is stress-free for busy parents, with registration, scheduling (and rescheduling) session and paperwork completion for MVA offered on-line.

Sessions fill up quickly.  To register, visit www.idrivesmart.com, create an account and select a session offered at South River High School.

I Drive Smart allows participants to mix and match the sessions. Though each session runs for 2 consecutive weeks (ten weekdays/units), you can customize your schedule to fit your needs.  For example: you can arrange to take 5 units in September, two in October and three in November.  Once class time is purchased, sessions can easily be re-arranged on-line.

Classes are held after school, 3:15pm – 5:30pm, and include one 15 minute break.  If a session falls on an early dismissal school day, that class will run 12:15pm – 3:30pm.  Room location will be announced.

On-the-road practice with an MVA certified driving instructor is three days of two-hour sessions.  Students may be picked up and dropped off at SRHS or at the Crofton Branch Library on Riedel Road, Crofton.  In car practice lessons may be scheduled Monday through Sunday.
